Back deck remodel

by KMS Woodworks
A project for a client a few months in the works...this is the joy of juggling many clients and projects.
The old back yard deck was rotted and on its last legs. The stairs and small deck up at the door were also in a sad state.
the owner wanted a lower maintenance option for the main lower deck. So we installed some flagstone. After the old deck was removed a "frame" was built using 6" landscape timbers. This area was then leveled with about 8000 pounds of crusher fines and then 4000 pounds of flagstone was installed...then the deck and stairs were rebuilt.
The stair treads, upper rails and decking is all Ipe...my Favorite
