Hi, Samantha! There are all kinds of mailboxes, but I am going to assume yours is a freestanding curved-top mailbox. I would take a piece of paper out and trace the door of the mailbox. This will give you the minimum curvature of the mailbox. The styrofoam is a saddle over the mailbox. Use flat styrofoam in whatever thickness you choose. Cut the curve according to your tracing. Use an Xacto or carving knife. Then decide if you want a curved saddle, a square one, or some other shape. Then measure and cut the top and sides to be what you want. Use twine or duct tape to mount the styrofoam on the mailbox (or you can decorate the saddle indoors and mount it later.) Use floral picks, real greenery, pine cones, twinkle lights, or anything else that you are inspired to do. Please post your project on Hometalk! ☺️
