How do you keep outdoor string lighting from sagging?

I love the european string lighting but it’s hesvy and starts sagging.

Run them along a wooden post and adhere them every few feet.
Little ties. You can use pipe cleaners, wires, cords, fabric, whatever. You might try to match the color of the string so as to hide the ties.
