I want to do some pavers to extend my small front porch, how do I prep

The area I want to extend is 4' by 5'....I'd like to make the area 10' by 10' but I don't know how to prep the area around my porch to make way for the pavers....I am open to ideas.

remove the sod from the area, dig down 3-4" in your area, lay down landscape fabric, and put a layer of gravel and a good layer of sand, lay in the pavers so they are level with the surrounding landscape, using a level.
