Easy Geometric Chair Update

If you've followed me for a while, you know that my house is full of Ikea placeholders. We're big on making the best of it right now, so when I joined the I knew that I was going to update one of our plain chairs. I did the easiest geometric chair update you've ever seen and it took no time at all.
I started with an Ivar Ikea chair. Super plain. The only thing to be said about it is that it's a chair.
I used General Finishes Gray Gel Stain to cover it. Paint on, wipe off the excess, and repeat.
I used Foamology from Fairfield for the cushion. It's already divided into squares and has a peel and stick backing, so it's super easy to attach. I cut out the size I needed and stuck it on.
I then covered the cushion with batting and my fabric, tucking in the sides and stapling it down.
This update took no time at all and I love how it turned out. My girls love it, too, and are now all requesting color combinations and fabric choices for their desk chairs. So fun!
