From Coffee Table to Pinic Table #HandmadeFurniture

Our Granite Top Coffee Table was 10 years old and too large for my new house's Great Room. But it's still in great shape and hard to just give away. So we decided to transform it into an outdoor dinning table. The top is 40" by 48" so plenty enough seating for 4 people having an Alfresco lunch.
The finished product here. We'll be making a few nice benches next.
I removed the legs... and the metal grate lower shelf that I will use as a trellis in the garden.
We built a frame with treated 2 x 4's
4X4s for the legs with a I-frame for support but won't interfere with sitting.
Then we just set the heavy Table Top over the frame.
