Giving an Old Friend a Makeover

This table was part of a bistro set. You can see the rust patches as black sport he's, plus it's faded.
I sanded back the rusty patches and treated them with an anti erosion formula, available from any hardware shop. This will ensure that nothing nasty is going on under the surface.
I kept the mosaic ingredients bright and funky, so when the sun hits it... you get a blast of colour

There were two little chairs with this set. To tie it in with the table I did a little strip of mosaic across the back of each one.
Once everything is grouted it's just a case of cleaning off excess and polishing up.
Polish with a dry cloth to finish

  • I used standard tile adhesive and tiles I'd scrounged from skips plus some of my own. The body of t   (Tiles were from skip and my own supplies.)
