TRASH FIND Cart Repurposed to a Night Stand

5 Materials
I grabbed, well, to be honest, hubby grabbed this cart out of a neighbors trash pile. Once we got it home, I started thinking about a fun and inexpensive way to refinish it. The was going to be another one of my trash find repurposed projects where I return it back to the original owners secretly
To start, with my daughter-in-laws help, we took the wheels off and rubbed the whole thing down with a deglosser. We then filled in the door pattern as much as possible with wood filler.
Next, we primed and painted everything with a few coats of white gloss paint. Hubby added some basic block legs to the bottom for us. Gotta love those awesome hubbies
Finally, we added the blue craft paper to the door using Mod Podge. We also painted a coat of Mod Podge on the top of the blue paper so it would have a protective finish to it. Lastly, we added some inexpensive wooden knobs to the doors.
This is it! A sweet little night stand. We secretly returned this cutie back to the original owners front porch, rang their doorbell and ran like crazy!!! Never got caught - yay! Enjoy your day ~Lela (TrashFindRedesigned on ETSY) My BLOG at www.trashfindredesigned.com
