Coffee Themed Garden Vignette On An Old Treehouse Ladder

I love to decorate my junk garden with themed vignettes. If you love coffee, old coffeepots and flowers, this idea is for you.

In the past, I have placed old coffeepots and teakettles on this old treehouse ladder planted with annuals. This year I decided to add even a bit more whimsy to these plantings.

It's quite easy to keep the pots/buckets/teapots/coffeepots on the ladder rungs without blowing off.

I pound a nail in the center of the ladder rung, and slip the pot or bucket drainage hole over the nail. Just make sure one of your drainage holes is in the center bottom.

I prepared to stencil the ladder rail with my  Organic Coffee Stencil from Old Sign Stencils. This is a great sign stencil that can be used for multiple projects.

I put a spoonful of Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash on a paper plate.

I used the paper plate to swirl and pounce the excess paint off my stencil brush. A drier brush is super important when stenciling to avoid paint bleed under the stencil.

I measured with a ruler to center the stencil on one of the ladder rails, and taped it on.

I used a combination of pouncing and swirling the paint on the stencil.

Besides stenciling "organic coffee" on the ladder rail, I added two stars from the same stencil. Finishing nails were pounded into the rail to hold vintage enamelware cups.

Since this is a shady area of my yard, red impatiens were planted in the coffeepots!

The stenciling and cups added so much interest to the old treehouse ladder plantings! If you like coffeepot projects, see more HERE and HERE.
