These DIY Mini Garden Signs to help us keep track of all of the young plants we’re preparing to plant. Sometimes plants can look similar in the young stages. The garden markers are also a colorful addition to the garden after the plants are mature. Follow my Pinterest Gardening Board for more fun ideas like this one.
Gather you supplies. You can use paint stir sticks or popsicle sticks. Paint pens with a fine tip will work best for writing name labels though you could use a permanent marker.
Paint sticks in colors to coordinate with the plant – red for tomato, green for lettuce, yellow for corn, purple for egg plant.  You get the idea!

When the paint has dried completely on both sides of the stick, use the paint pen to write the names of your garden plants on the sticks for example we did lettuce, tomatoes and corn. Let them dry completely before putting them in the garden. Stick them into the dirt by your plants for colorful, easy, fun garden markers.
I hope you enjoy this simple, easy, and fun garden project. It is also great for marking your indoor container planters over the cold winter months.
