Concrete Garden Orbs
We're just beginning to get greenery here in the Northeast and these fun orbs add a little bit of fun to our patio garden bed. I read a post by the amazing Little Green Notebook and had to immediately go and make many concrete garden orbs. Last year, I made a bunch of planters, but these are even simpler and... VERY cool. Viewer beware: there is some glass breakage that occurs in the making of this project. Given how many of these glass orbs I see at the thrift store, I'm not sure people really use them so... concrete orbs.

I have done this project using different size rubber balls from the dollar store. When cement is dry, three days, use a utility knife to cut the ball away. To get the cement into the ball you just cut a small hole in the top. sit the ball on a plastic flower pot and it will remain round while it dries.
