Curbside Picket Fence Becomes Repurposed Garden Decor

Would you have picked these up if you found them curbside like I did? These tiny picket fences looked full of potential to me, so I snatched them up and turned them into garden decor. With a little DIY and crafty goodness, they are now a whimsical addition to your home. Come see how I did it on the blog!
Each year our city has a city-wide spring clean-up, and it's hard not to pass up trashure like these cute picket fences. At this same time, I also scored this gorgeous desk that got a French makeover.
I even scored these miniature garden tool sets from the thrift store and knew the would be the perfect addition to my picket fences. They were far to "new" looking for me, so I have them my aged treatment.
I hand-painted some barn wood to give a touch of whimsy with a directional sign.
These free printable vintage seed packets would also add texture to my creation, and just needed a little distressing as well, just like I did in my video tutorial for faux cotton stems.
Aren't those tools cute? They helped to take that curbside picket fence to a new level.
Now those trashed pickets are ready to be hung in your home. Come on over to the blog to get all the DIY details OR head to my shopto purchase one of your own: http://www.prodigalpieces.etsy.com
