Thrift store finds are so thrilling because you can make most anything with them - with just a little imagination.

A DIY Bird Feeding Station had been on my list for a while and on a recent trip I found just the pieces I need to make a simple, but cute and functional one for my yard.

The first thing I noticed about this tabletop cup holder was that it had a lot of possibilities with all those hooks.

I could even hang some feeders from the bottom too!

It was a great find - for just $2

And what's a cup holder without cups, right?

I usually hit most everything I get from thrift stores with some kind of paint, but this time I made an exception.

The colors were already nice and I didn't want to worry about contamination that might harm the birds.

It made this project quick and easy!

The stand, however, did need some help so I painted it white.

Much better!

Of course bird seed would just spill right out and it's still cool enough that suet won't melt - yet.

I found a yummy-sounding easy recipe and filled the cups, pushed in a couple of sticks I found in my yard, and put them into the freezer to harden.

Lastly, I found a nice tree I can see right from my kitchen window and hung the birdie buffet.

Now I only have to wait for the birds to come enjoy their feast - and I got to enjoy another fun and creative thrift find project!

Now I have two DIY feeders right outside the kitchen window.

This one was made from an old ceiling fan light and the birds simply adore it. Some days it's so packed with birds, and the activity is stunning!
