Do you have a cute flock of birds in your back yard? Give them something more to chirp about with this Easy DIY Birdhouse that you can make out of an used milk carton!
I love looking after the little birds in my back yard, they're not only cute but also a nice doze of cheer! I made them bird feeders out of orange peel and a nice peanut wreath feeder and now it was about time to work on a birdhouse too. And since I love recycling I used a milk carton.
MATERIALS:

used milk carton

fine sand paper (I used a 220 and just lightly polished the surface)

sharp cutting tool

enamel spray paint (or acrylic paint) suitable for carton, in color/colors of choice. I used gold, black and red. Enamel paint holds better outdoors.

enamel colorless spray paint

enamel spray primer

2 pieces tree bark for the roof

hot glue sticks

hot glue gun

punching tool

a couple of twigs

twine to hang the birdhouse

owl stickers (optional)

a few pebbles to put on the bottom of the house for more stability

a few straws or hay to make a nest for birds inside the birdhouse

Making the birdhouse was pretty easy, I only encountered some issues when it came to deciding on a design. I wanted a simple design but turns out I really suck at designing and made some mistakes with the paint but the end result was pretty satisfactory.

After cutting the door and painting the house I attached the roof using the tree bark, then attached some stickers on for a more fun look and make the house more attractive to birds. I attached a couple of twigs, placed some pebbles and straws inside the house and tied some twine to hang it and that's it! The house was done in no time!
