Today I want to show you how EASY it can be to personalize a rock outside your home so that people visiting can easily identify your address. This DIY Home Address Rock makeover is so simple, you just need some paint, a stencil, and a paintbrush!!

I started by weed walking around the rock, cleaning it off with water, and letting it dry.

Next I used my HomeRight Finish Max Paint Sprayer and white paint to spray the rock and give it a good base coat. I opted not to completely saturate the rock so it had a nice glazed look.

After I sprayed the rock, I brought out my Stencil and using a small paint brush, a sharpie, and black acrylic paint, I stenciled my numbers on first. I used the sharpie to outline them with the stencil and then I hand painted the numbers onto the rock.

I prefer the FolkArt multi surface brand of craft paint because it goes on easily and it's held up just fine outside (no sealing required).

So for about 1 hour of work I went from the boring, outdated before to the light, bright and personalized after!!

I love this idea. Living in a tiny village with no street lights it’s a nightmare for delivery drivers to find properties. One thing I thought of, was using a glow in the dark paint for the house number. What do you think?

I have lovely heavy white rock. I've been wanting to do this but was undecided about using paint or premade numbers. I like the paint much better but didn't want to have to constantly reseal. I will just get this paint and think of you!!

    Thank you 💕

Glow I the dark paint is available in several colours although white has the best ‘glow’ when dark. I got mine from EBay, about £3 for 10ml. I imagine Amazon and craft stores will stock it too 😊
