Hmm... What to do with this vintage, dented, no spout galvanized watering can. This treasure is one of my estate sale purchases that I will always adore. I'm thinking it's time to repurpose it from my watering can to a fun decoration on my front porch.
I knew I needed some color on my front porch so I began looking around my backyard for some yard props (believe me - I have plenty). My old galvanized can was a good start but it definitely needed color.
Off to Hobby Lobby - one of my favorite stores in the whole wide world:) I knew I wanted some purple silk flowers. Love the look of vintage galvanized pieces with purple flowers. As luck would have it, silk flowers were 50% off!
Now to throw some paint on my trash find ladder back chair. It already had the darker blue on it from last summer. I wanted to add the lighter blue this season just "because". Okay, now it's time to put this little project together on my front porch ...
What fun! Here it is - My trash to treasure colorful chair with the galvanized vintage can on top and a few sprigs of silk flowers. And yes, if you're wondering ... the old rustic barn shovel and antique wooden nail barrel are also estate sale finds! Happy porch decorating to all. Now I think I'll tackle the rest of the porch ;)
Enjoyed the project?

Your porch is so adorbs!! I bought 2 metal chairs and painted them yellow. They don't have bottoms and right now one has a galvanized wash tub full of iris bulbs sitting on it. LOVE the blue chair!
