Grow a Flower Pot Mushroom

Cottage Gal Style
by Cottage Gal Style
Well you can't actually grow a flower pot mushroom but you can make one easily.
With a little spray paint you can transform a plain flower pot and saucer into this darling mushroom garden art.
It looks right at home in your garden and you can always turn the saucer over and use as a birdbath too.
I first painted the pot green and then decided I wanted white instead and simply gave it a few coats of white spray paint and transformed it.
Use a dark primer to generously coat the pot and saucer to ensure your paint adheres well.

If you are like me, use a fast drying spray paint so you won't have to wait too long for the paint to dry!

I painted the dots with a flat brush but I suggest using a large paint dabber instead to get perfect circles ( I didn't have one and didn't want a hold on my project).

You can do this in an afternoon and have your pretty garden art displaying for all to see.

I love mushrooms and this is so bright and pretty. I've taken the glass vases and turned them upside down and put bowls down on the bottom of the vase and like them - so I will have to try this! Thanks for sharing!!
