One of my goals for this year is to update my garden area in my backyard. This means sprucing up my pond, updating my landscaping, and adding some interesting visual features. Armed with some vintage crystals and an old watering can I decided to make this happen.
I had a watering can that I "had" to have laying around the house that I decided to give a makeover. I began by removing the spout from the watering can.
Using the floral wire and wrap it around one of the plastic beads. Leave a long tail to the wire, however. Use the wire cutters to cut the wire.
With the bead on the inside of the water spout, thread the wire through the holes in the spout and thread it through the string of crystals as well.
Once you have threaded the wire through the spout and the crystals you will want to wrap the tail of the wire around the wire to secure it.
Keep adding strands of crystals to the spout of the watering can until it looks like there is "water" pouring out of the watering can. Makes different lengths of crystals. This will probably be about 10 strands.
Make different lengths of crystals. When you are done, there will probably be about 10 strands.
Attach the handle of the watering can to a planter hook and allow it to "pour" into planters, water features, or anywhere else you want add a visual element to in your yard.
