Milk Jug Bird Feeder Earth Day Kids Craft
This milk jug bird bird feeder is a great craft for kids to make this spring. Wild birds will flock to your yard for a tasty snack out of this recycled plastic jug. Teach kids about recycling and learn about nature. This is a great project for Earth day or just if you have bored kids at home who need a fun art project.

Wash and clean the jug out and let it dry. Use a knife or scissors to cut holes in all four sides of the jug. Adults should do this part.
Use acrylic paint to paint designs onto the bird feeder. Use non-toxic waterproof paint. Let it dry completely.
Poke holes in the lid and feed the string through. Tie it in place screw the top back on.
Pour bird seed into the bottom of the milk jug.
Hang the bird feeder up by the string and wait for birds to arrive. You can poke a stick into the jug if you want a perch for the birds to stand on otherwise the birds will sit inside the bird feeder and eat.
