I love sitting outside listening to the birds and doing outdoor projects. My old outdoor table finally gave in this year, so I hauled it to the dump. Sure have missed it, so I decided to make my spool into a work table.
This worked great as a table but I didn't like the way it looked. So I gave it a makeover by having some fun with some spray paint.
Put a piece of lace over the top and using it like a stencil, I sprayed it with spray paint. Let it dry before removing the lace.
Then I grabbed other colors and painted the sides. I then topped it off by toning it down with black spray paint.
After I sprayed the black over the other colors. I love the look.
I found this solid brass base that was part of a lamp that would fit perfectly in the middle hole of the spool.
It did! And it is perfect to hold some flowers. Looks great!
Just look how sweet the table looks in the garden.
Think this will work out perfect. Hope you enjoyed!
