Throughout the years I have lost family members and friends. When they are gone I have planted a flower, tree, or bush from their yard and transplanted it in mine. That way they are still always with me...just in a different way. Mom poppies, dad hollyhocks, Grandma rose, and so on and so on. I have been told many times my yard is a Peace of Heaven. So I thought I would make a sign .
This is grandma rose which is right by my bedroom window. I think of grandma everyday looking out and seeing how Happy and beautiful her rose is. Grandma rose is not a climbing rose, but will grow way above the roof of my house. It smells soooooooo good.
I first started with a piece of scrap wood that I found in my wood pile. Now I have to figure out how to make a circle from this. Forgot to take a picture, but I traced the bottom of a bucket onto my piece of wood.
Using my Dewalt scroll saw I was able to make my circle. My scroll saw is one of my favorite tools.
Now that I have my circle I used chalk to pencil in my idea. I like using chalk because it is easy to wipe off if your not happy with what you wrote or made.
I picked three colors to paint my circle and then glued my glass marbles on with E6000 glue.
A new area I created this year. This is where I do a lot of my outside crafts.
My front yard view.

What an awesome way to pay tribute to loved ones passed on. So I hope you don't mind if I adopt this or a version of? Blessings.

I don't have a question, only comment. The so called peace sign is actually a upside down cross. The devils sign. Look it up on the internet.

Teri on Aug 20, 2017Give me a break.....Really! The most common explanation for the origin and meaning of the symbol comes from the start of the peace movement itself. That the symbol was designed in 1958 when Gerald Holtom combined the semaphore N with the semaphore D (“nuclear disarmament”) to symbolize the link between the end of nuclear weapons and the beginning of peace. The combined symbol is enclosed in a circle to represent “all encompassing” or “total”. The peace sign is what you want to make of it. I believe our world needs more peace and kindness. P.S Do you believe everything you read?
