Pomegranate Bird Feeder

3 Materials
Make a pomegranate or orange bird feeder with your kids and hang from a branch by a window so you can watch the winter birds.
Carefully cut the fruit in half.
Scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
With a sharp kitchen object make 4 holes evenly spaced around the fruit 1/2" from the top. We used the tip of a meat thermometer, but a wooden skewer would work well too.
Insert cord through one hole and out another and tie at the top.
Repeat with the remaining two holes. We used a heavier cord so that it's easier to get through the holes.
Fill with bird seed.
Hang from a sturdy branch close to a window so you can watch the winter birds.
