What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Hi- Start with one area. Hunt for clearance shrubbery . Last year I got a few Knock out Rose bushes for $1.00 each at Lowes, at the clearance rack. Just were not in bloom, and no way to tell the color as the tags were gone. This year one azalea bush and one rhododendron for $3.00 each at clearance. I have done this for years. Just make sure you have decent soil what ever you plant. Buy bags of top soil when on sale - that will help. Sometimes local horticultural societies give away trees, especially in the spring, to do with Arbor Day.
Excellent idea! Would never have thought of that. Thank you so much.
If you have a community email , request cuttings, talk to local gardners, they usually have a lot of extra plants.
