Why are no birds attracted to the Bird Seed in my feeder?
I put wild bird seed in my front yard in a bird feeder and no birds are being attracted to it. Any advice on how to attract birds to a feeder?

Birds are attracted to food visually - did you spread some seed on the edges of the feeder so that they can see?
did you get bird seed that is good for the types of birds you have around? My grandmother told me years ago that before I buy seed to make sure what birds I want to attack and buy for them not just cause it's cheap. Stores carry all kinds of seeds just make sure it's one right for you and your birds. Also try a SuetNugget or Block. These attack birds also and once they know you have feed they will continue to flock to your feed.
As DJ said above, you may be using the wrong type of seed, therefore, none of the birds are attracted to your feeder. Try and identify what birds you have in your garden. I buy sesame seeds from the bulk store and find most birds are attracted to that. Good luck!
they probally have not found it yet sprinkle a spray on the ground.. But if u live in an area where food is plentiful. ..My best bet when I was really into bird watching WAS sunflower seed, Most of them love it red birds especially and the little yellow finch they r so cute.I would buy just sunflower seeds and mix it with the cheaper No problem there. GOOD LUCK... IT IS FUN AND RELAXING TO WATCH THE BIRDS. LITTLE SONG BIRDS. I feed the humming birds mostly now.
Are there cats in your neighborhood?
If you have neighbors who've had success with feeders, ask what they use. Birds are attracted to the sound of trickling water. You can buy little mister kits that hook right to a water hose. Place it so it drips into a bird bath; or make a bath with a stool (or an upside down tomato cage) and a shallow pan of water. They also like nearby trees or shrubs where they can seek shelter if they feel threatened. Seed on the ground (if you don't have outdoor cats) will attract ground feeders.
Is it possible that you have it too close to the ground? If so the birds don't feel it's safe to land on the feeder. Try hanging it higher off the ground.
If the feeder is in a 'busy' spot in your yard they won't usually stay too interested.
