I do not think it is advisable chlorine in your garden.

I let mine flow out into the hedgerow. Killed some grass on its way, but never the big hedge plants. If you are not using a 'chlorine' system your water should be clean to use for any purpose.

I agree! Chlorine and any pool chemicals will kill grass and plants.

Chlorine will definitely kill your lawn and poison your garden! Not a good idea.

Maybe the chlorine filters out thru their yard before it gets to yours OR they don't use chemicals in their pool. If you want to risk killing your lawn, give it a go but I seriously advise against it. My hubby watered some of my potted plants with pool water while I was away and it killed every one of them! Just sayin'

I have a DE / Chlorinated pool and I've backwashed directly into my lawn for years. No issues. However the grass(St. Augustine) here is a tougher than most.
