P.ut up a fence, although beautiful animals, they love to eat what you plant

I have a friend who got some bamboo poles and hung reflective gift streamers. The kind you put on your gifts as bows. She stuck them in various places around the perimeter of her landscape. She says the work great. The reflection of the sun and the sound keeps the deer from eating her plants. She lives on ten acres and feeds the deer at the back of her property.
The only true solution is a double fence! They get hungry, they eat....everything! Sometimes they don't eat everything, but don't count on it.
A double fence means they cant jump it.
