I think the first and most important decisions to make is ho, w big and where you want your fairy garden: in a pot, a tree, a garden area, on a table or shelf, indoors or out? Once you get those questions settled, then comes the fun part! Good luck!

My favorite fairy gardens are the ones where I become the miniature gardener. -

meaning to set the garden up with paths and plants, then add the miniature things to go in. You can buy "mini" plants, and they add such a sweetness!

A fairy garden in a container is the easiest - I like a kids wheelbarrow the best (an older one has more character).

I choose plants that spill over the container, too. And the final touch to add that makes it absolutely magical , are lights! i love those new ones out that are really delicate and on a wire (battery operated). They fit a fairy garden perfectly!

Hello Margaret. I used an old bird bath to make a fairy garden. I have a couple buildings that I made from sticks and moss. I have 2 people and a rabbit. I don't have any lights but would love to get some. There are rocks that are walk ways. I'm currently working on a table and chairs. Anyway, try the dollar store. They actually have quite a bit of stuff that you could use. Hope this helps. Good luck.

get ideas from Pintrest, look at your local thrift stores and use different items. Dollar Store has some fairy stuff, also Big Lots if u have that store. I use household items like sea shells to make a fountain, use bobby pins for a gate, golf tees to make a fence, or put a marble on top of the golf tee and use it for a gazing ball.Tons of ideas on Pintrest.
