Best to wait 2-3 weeks, water at least 2 times a day (early/later) before sun evaporates and for minimum 1/2 hour especially if warm temps./no shade.

Newly installed sod should not be mowed until you see the new growth appearing. Mow with the blade higher for the first couple of times to prevent any burning of the grass.

You need to let it grow for a minimum of 3 weeks. If you try to mow it too soon, your mower will just grab the edges and pull the pieces up. When it's time to mow, set your mower on the tallest setting and work down to the length you want. It may take 3 passes or more.

You need it to grow for 3-4 weeks and water it daily if it doesn't rain. This helps the roots to go deeper into the soil, the stronger the roots the healthier and thick the grass will be.
