I need some inspirational ideas for giving my garden a Japanese theme

The garden is south west facing and gets a lot if strong cold winds during the winter. It is a strange, triangular ish shape

Think I would focus on the pines, junipers in a windy location and prune them to look like coastal wind swept bonsai. Maybe some dwarf mondo grass for texture/ground cover,,,, and lot of stone pebbles for a zen influence and a couple boulders maybe with moss.
