Inexpensive ideas to slow erosion on 1/2 mile driveway?

Driveway is gravel downhill slope and embankment is eroding fast.

    You can stake burlap and hydro seed it with grass. You could also use a local ground cover species. You can also try to figure out a way to redirect the water away from the eroding edge.

    We had a road like that when we built our home ourselves by hand from the ground up. We had 8 acres and we also built the road in to the house. We were advised to use crusher run gravel to build a road bed. We put down by hand six good inches for the road. This was in SC and they get a lot of rain there. It saved our road. You can have it delivered in a dump truck and spread it yourself. We hauled ours a load at a time in the bed of our old 3/4 ton pick up. It was a lot of work, but we were young and ambitious. Hope this helps. Crusher run did make a good solid bed for the foundation to our driveway
