Here's some good ideas ! https://www.thespruce.com/fast-growing-shrubs-2132431
Now is an excellent time to buy your new hedge plants since most nurseries have half price sales around this time of year. A fence of fast growing shrubs is a very nice thing to have between nosy neighbors. Good luck and I hope it grows fast.
Linden trees are supposed to be fast growing. I understand you can plant them any time of the year. What I did was put up lattice work first, and then planted vines at the foot of the lattice. In my neighbourhood, you can't just put up tall fence, but you can grow vines high and you can build lattice support for the vines. So I built the lattice and then covered it with chicken wire. It wasn't a perfect barrier, but it was good while waiting for the vines to shield my place more thoroughly.
