Good luck!
Salt sprinkled on heavily if you don't want a chance of chemicals carried in on bare feet. If you can find cattle salt (flakes or granular) at a farm supply store or such it is cheaper.
When I had my pool I had a sand mount under it. Spray a weed killer around the pool then cover with newspaper and black trash bags. Then add mulch or stones (small pebbles are best ). To decorate add potted plants and a small tub to rinse off any dirt from the feet before diving in.
Lay garden fabric around the base of the pool. Lay mulch or rock on top of the fabric. Note: if laying mulch, place large rocks, bricks, or plastic garden edging around the outside edge of the mulch to keep it from drifting into the lawn . Decorate with flower pots, larger rocks, garden decorations, and solar lights. Have fun creating a beautiful frame to enhance the pool area!
