What can I put on top of what used to be a flower bed?

This was a flower bed and I pulled everything. I just want to put something on top and not in the ground. I'm not sure what to do with it. Thank you for any suggestions.

first I would cover it with landscaping material so the rain gets thru but no weeds. Then I would mulch it good. And then a nice bird bath. Leave the edging as it looks okay. And if you want maybe some small bushes

mulch it heavily, like at least 3". The get various sized and height planters with a variety of plants and flower that like the amount of sun/shade you get in that area

Get a couple bags of mulch to cover the dirt. Buy some potted flowers and set on top of the mulch. Maybe add some garden art or a sheperds hook for a hanging basket. Use your imagination!

    Good luck!

What about a little fairy or gnome village? A fire pit? Several medium to large planters?

Id mulch it and put a birdbath in the middle for starters. Maybe a shepards hook on each side with hanging baskets

I agree with the landscape fabric and mulch. How about putting a bench or a couple of chairs with a small table? Just a little area to hang out

I like the firepit idea, or you could make benches from the ground and add flowers or trees to the sides or back of the bench
