What is the hardiest ground cover to use between flagstone?

When built covered area the beautiful ground cover between flagstone died. Is there a ground cover I can plant and hand water once a week that will grow so flagstone once again looks like this photo?

If you can keep it well watered a moss type plant would look nice.

Creeping thyme is evergreen and very hardy. Ot flowers throughout the summer usually in pink. AKA walk on me thyme. It's very easy to grow from seed and transplants well.
Thyme is my favorite!
Here are several options. The problem I see is you will constantly have to trim to keep it from overtaking the stones. You might want to put pea gravel in between the stones instead. That's how I made a path, and it is still very pretty.
