What plants are a good ground cover and low maintenance?

    I use hosta, love varied pale to bright to green.

    Vinca vine is a solid ground cover, and will get very thick within 3 years. I love creeping Jenny. I also like a sedum ground cover. There is one in the stonecrop family that grows like crazy!!! And can take over, but unlike the vinca vine, the sedum is very very easy to pull out and maintain.
