You can make a bird feeder for your backyard with a can and a few other supplies. Have a fun getting kids involved in this easy activity.

Start with decorating your can. I used star stickers.
I placed them around the top and the bottom of the can.
You'll need some ribbon to hang your bird feeder.
Cut the ribbon in 2 sizes - one to go around the can, and the other a loop you'll hang it from the tree with.
Place the loop ribbon under the ribbon that will go around the can. Secure it with glue. I used hot glue, but you could use E6000 or silicone since it will be outside.
Hot glue a stick for a bird perch just inside the can.
Add some bird seed in the can.
Hang your bird feeder outside. When the can tips, the birdseed will fall forward.
You can see me make these and create more things with cans on my next episode of Hometalk's Facebook Live Tuesday, May 9th 5:30pm EST.
