If you have seen any of my posts you will know I have a thing for creating different solar lights. I am a fan of the edison style solar lights as they are so easy to create different looks with them and are extremely easy to work with. I have been busy making over my deck the last couple of weeks. (Posts to follow soon) but I wanted to share with you this idea. They are oh so cute and say summer.
It started with a trip to the dollar store, I wanted to create a light that would go with my furniture I redid and my planter. I wanted something to make a lamp shade. I spotted these cute little bonnets and I knew this would become my light.
So here are the supplies you need. Two bonnets and a box of the edison style solar lights purchased from Walmart 6 in a box. (I will use the rest somewhere else.) You are going to take one of the bonnets and cut a tiny hole in the top, the same size as the top of your light.
Next you are going to take your solar bulb and wrap two sided foam tape around top this will insure your light and bonnet stays secure.
Now you are going to take the bulb, bring it up through the hole in the top of the bonnet, lightly press bonnet to the tape to hold in place.
Voila! You are finished. I love how these turned out.
Here they are just at dusk starting to light up.
