Thrift Store Garden Mushrooms
I love going to thrift stores and creating things out of their dishes. I'm showing you how to create some fun garden mushrooms from these finds. You can see more of my crazy creations here
For this first mushroom, I found this plastic bowl and cup that looks like glass. You'll want to consider where your garden mushrooms are going and what kind of material you'd like to use.
I placed fix all super glue adhesive on the bottom of the glass. I will be using this glass upside down for this mushroom.
I placed the bowl upside down onto the glue. I let this dry for 24 hours as per the instructions on the glue.
For this second mushroom, I painted this plastic cup white with Folk Art paint. Be sure to read your paint to make sure it's safe for plastic and outdoors. It took 2 coats and I followed the package instructions for the second coat.
On the bottom of the plastic plate, I used my stencil brush and made textured circles to create the top of the mushroom. I let all of the paint dry completely before moving on.
I placed glue on the bottom of the cup and placed the plate on top of the glue.
I let everything dry completely, and it'll be going in my garden this spring!

I made mine few years ago. I used thrift store vases & light fixtures. I glued glass beads on them. Some have dollar tree solar lights. Super fun & cute. ( You can get clear glass beads from Dollar Tree usually on the floral Isle and if you want a color I painted the bottom with fingernail Polish)😉
