This mushroom craft is fun for kids of all ages. Use recycled plastic containers and toilet paper rolls to make an adorable gnome toadstool. Paint it with your favorite colors and add them to your fairy garden or use them for creative play. Teach kids about recycling and nature with this fun spring craft.

  • Supplies:
  • 2 empty fruit cup or yogurt cups, washed & dried
  • 2 empty toilet paper rolls
  • White & assorted colored
  • Paint brush
  • Small circle shaped paint sponge
  • Hot glue gun and glue
  • Green craft foam

Clean and dry the fruit cup. Paint with acrylic paint color of your choice. Let dry.

Use a circle sponge and make spots on the mushroom with a contrasting color of paint. You can also trace a circle and fill it in with paint if you can't find a circular sponge.

Paint the toilet paper roll and let it dry. Hot glue it to the fruit cup. Now they look like little mushrooms.

cut the green foam into strips about one inch by 8 inches. Cut a fringe on one side to make it "grass"

Glue the foam to the bottom of the toilet paper roll to look like grass growing at the base of the mushroom.

Now you can place your fruit cup mushrooms in a fairy garden or add it to your decor for a fun and whimsical touch!
