I had this heavy duty stand left over from a bird bath. I knew it still had use but for what I didn't know. I stored it away until I figured out what. I had purchased an awesome tray from RedRacks several months ago not knowing what I would use it for. Then it struck me while planting flowers. Put the two together.
My heavy duty stand.
I wiped the stand and tray down with mild soap and water. And dried both with a lint free rag.
Spray paint and adhesive.
My awesome metal tray with the cool handles.
I glued plastic water bottle lids to each top of the leg of the stand. There wasn't enough area of the leg to glue to the bottom of the tray.
Plastic water bottle lids.
I then spray painted the stand to match the tray.
Painted stand.
I then glued the tray to the stand. I made sure that the glued down lids were dry. I then glued a ceramic bird to the edge of the tray. At last I added the bird seed. It is now ready to put it out in my garden.
The finished bird feeder ready for the birds.
I love the finished bird feeder! It was easy to make and it looks great! All you need now is some bird feed.
