Hi there, Hometalk Friends! I know many of you are dealing with snow and may be experiencing cabin fever so I thought a little pre-spring garden inspiration might be welcome. Do you have faded stepping stones that have seen better days? Today I’m sharing an easy way to refresh them in no time at all!

I found a pair of lightweight stepping stones on clearance at a local garden shop after Valentine's Day last year. Better late than never--right? I have a lot of color in my garden and with their faux concrete finish, they kind of faded into the background. Want to create your own heart stepping stones?  Check here!

I used hammered copper spray paint to refresh them. This is how one coat of paint looks. Need copper paint? Look here!

After two coats have dried, the patina looks more textured. I love the way the copper pops against the green ivy! TIP: Whether pouring your own stepping stones or refreshing faded ones, buy paint and supplies in advance so you’ll have them on hand when a spring-like winter day makes an appearance!
