I'm all about furnishing my home with thrift store finds. Thrifting is also a great way to furnish outdoor spaces on a budget. I'm sharing how I add style and and function to my small urban garden with thrifted and vintage finds.
My favorite place to shop - The Goodwill!
I found this pair of outdoor wicker chairs for just $20 each. I added affordable cushions from IKEA and sprayed them with Scotchgard waterproofing spray to make them outdoor friendly. The blue and white striped pillow covers were just $2. Even the hat was from the Goodwill. The ceramic garden stool was a Craigslist find.
I found this old vintage Schwinn bicycle and fell in love with the color and style. I added a basket and can change up the flowers seasonally. It creates a pretty moment in the corner of the garden.
The galvanized milk can was also from the Goodwill. I can use it for cut flowers, but it's pretty just nestled among the other containers, too.
A scooped up a couple of sturdy hand blown glass cloches to protect the tender plants from the cold nights. They are beautiful and functional.
I found a roll of vintage wire fence at a building salvage store and use it to keep my hens out of the raised beds. So much prettier than anything I could have purchased new. To see more of my garden and thrifted treasures, please visit my blog.
