I did this project a few months ago and now that summer is in full swing, we are loving this patio space and using it more than ever.
These were pretty easy to install and the best part about it is that they turn on with just a flip of a switch.
I used 3 ft of 1/2 inch copper pipe, glued on a male adapter and attached it to the floor flange. I attached the floor flange to the deck railing.
I slid a wooden dowel rod into the copper pipe....
I drilled a hole in the copper caps and used a cup hook to screw into the wooden dowel rod inside the pipe. The hooks hold the light strings in place.
With the help of a socket/light adapter, these lil babies turn on with just a flip of a switch.
Boom, ambiance, baby!
