Up Cycled Outdoor Beaded Chandelier
I’ve wanted a beaded chandelier for quite some time but they can be quite expensive so I decided to make my own. I found this old chandelier for $10 online. I cut off the electrical cord and most of the metal loops just leaving a few to hang it from. I added the round wreath frame from Michaels to attach the beads to and glued it on with a hot glue gun. I then painted it using Rustoleum chalked paint in the colour serenity blue. I got the beads from Michaels and some clear string that I used to transfer two full rolls of beads onto each string (this part took the longest). I then tied each string (there ended up being 5) around the loop at the top of the chandelier. I pulled each beaded string and put it in place in the middle of the hoop then glued it with a hot glue gun. When I finished all of them I pulled them together at the bottom and tied them together with some extra clear string. My husband then made me the wood hanging bar to hang it over our outdoor table. I absolutely love how it turned out and I might add some candles to it one day. 😊
