while the front pond was a wonderful and soothing feature, the area where we lived proved some people just did not respect our place...over the fence trash being flung into the pond;add to that feral cats and the occasional raccoon would knock the rocks into the pond....so out it came...

We also after a winter of every cat using the area as the largest cat box, that too came out...

We removed the canoe bedding area and replaced it with a xeriscaped garden that I will scatter wild flower seeds into...

the pond was taken down as well, replaced with a large flower bed/planting area (which we will get as soon as available)...we installed a huge fountain as well..this is still a work in progress and will load more images as we go along.

the pond before

step one was removing the surrounding rocks and liner then filling the area with dirt..

all filled and next area is removing the canoe which is next to the walkway.....

area that had the pond is now a xeriscaped area,we used all the rocks we had to fill this area and we will scatter wildflower seeds leaving it to reseed itself yearly.....

starting to install the fountain,1st the heavy base....

then the placement of the top of the fountain.....

new water feature in the front.....plants to come soon....so look for updates and more images...

well we moved the tall fountain to the back yard and put a more bird friendly birdbath in....everything is growing nicely

mint is coming in this year super thick

replaced our old swing for lazy afternoons

for a quiet day sitting here we watch the birds coming in for water and food

Awesome! I love how you're dealing with the trouble of animals and people not respecting your beautiful garden with a remodel. It's inspiring! I can't wait to see the plants.
