Bats are a protected species. in early September, you can find someone to remove them under all the guidelines. If you don't do it legally, you can be fined $$$ of $$.

not nearly as expensive as the fine. Good luck. At least they aren't in your attic. They carried many bags of poop. Gives me the creeps.

You need to contact your local pest control company or animal control. In many places it is illegal to kill them or harm them as they are a major insect eater. Your pest control company should be able to relocate them for you and give you instructions on how to prevent them from coming back.

Remove the shutters and the bats will leave on their own. Clean up their mess and replace shutters.

If you catch them send them to me. I have 2 empty bat houses to eat mosquitoes and no one has moved in.
