How do you get rid of sink/drain flies?
I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.
Inside the best way i found to get rid of them was to wetvac them into water and dishwashung liquid. The soap suffocates them. Outside I used a pyrithrin insectiside. I just had the boxelder tree removed so hopefully i wont see any bugs.
Vicki you took the words right out of my fingertips! Pyrethrin spray to take care of them outside and a wetvac to remove those stinky buggers from inside my home. Good luck!
forget the chemicals...use cider vinegar (3 parts) and water (1 part) spray or pour it on bugs and trails. Be careful of plants, cuz it also kills weeds. I treat them on ground and deck. Would test colorfastness on siding first.
Mix some Dawn dish washing detergent, and water in a spray bottle, and spray. I got this from a exterminator friend. The detergent removes the oil on them and kills them. Spray every time you see them, as he won't get all the first time.
