A lot of people find success in using fake snakes from the dollar tree. They move them around under the feeder/plants weekly so they seem more real. Might want to try it as it's a cheap way to start the solution without diving into an expensive one.

Those who have had the most success say they use snakes that are indigenous to your area. Also, put things in the feeder they don't like. Here's some more help.

fill feeders with safflower seed only. You will get lots of pretty birds, but the black birds and crows are not interested.

Trying to stay away from sunflower seeds and cracked corn. Crows love these two seeds.

I've successfully used plastic bird spikes tied horizontally [not vertically] to the front of the window bird feeder - below the lip of the feeding tray. Simply slip the cord behind the suction caps on the window and hang it as described. Small birds are not restricted but crows / rooks can't clamp their feet on anything because of the spikes. Appears to deter pideons also. Cost less than £2 for 13 inches of spikes that can be snapped into 2 " lengths - from www.birdspikesonline.co.uk
