Set your kitchen garbage can just outside a door or window, then open the doors, and windows nearby. The flies will all go out to the garbage can. Then close everything up and bring the garbage back in. Repeat as necessary.

What kind of flies?
try a bowl filled with cider vinegar, or a bottle, will attract the flies and they can get out. Works awesome with fruit flies.
place a flower vase 1/2 full of apple cider vinegar in fly area they will fly in
