D-Con traps available in nearly any store. Also, just using the gold old-fashioned mousetraps will work. You'll want to ensure you block any holes around you home where the mice might be getting in in the first place. You can stuff small holes with steel wool.

  • Mix 1 part flour, granulated sugar and baking soda. Place in shallow dish where mice are most likely to find it. You can sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar, chocolate powder or finely chopped nuts to make it more enticing – just add a bit more baking soda to compensate. What happens is when this hits their stomachs the baking soda forms a gas which rupture their stomachs = dead mice.

Soak a rag with ammonia and place in their holes. They’ll leave and never come back.

First, it's extremely important to find and seal up the openings where they are coming in. They only need a hole the diameter of a pencil! I use a can of expansion foam for this. Look for placing where wires or pipes enter your home and seal around them. Then you have a hope of eradicating the mice. If you don't do this first, you lose. Mice reproduce so fast that you can't get ahead of the population without stopping the bleeding.
